Polyester nonwoven fabric, made to your roll specification
Polyester is the workhorse fibre in our range: strong when wet, dimensionally stable, and predictable on high speed converting lines. It is the grade most buyers start with when they need a repeatable base fabric rather than a premium hand feel.

Where polyester earns its place
Buyers choose polyester when the fabric has to survive the converting line rather than the end user's hand. It keeps strength when wet, does not shrink away from a heat seal, and holds a slit width on a high speed unwind. That is why it turns up in mattress spring pockets, geotextile laminates, filtration support layers, industrial wipes and agricultural covers.
If the end product touches skin, polyester alone is usually the wrong answer: it is not absorbent enough and it feels dry. For wipes and personal care the blend moves towards viscose or wood pulp, and the polyester content becomes the strength carrier rather than the main fibre.
What we fix before we quote
Four numbers decide the price and the runnability: gsm, width, MD/CD strength ratio and roll build. Send those and the application, and the reply is a grade we can actually run, not a brochure grade. If one of them is still open, say so and we will quote the two options that bracket it.
Surface pattern matters more than buyers expect. A dot pattern adds bulk and a softer hand but reduces contact area for lamination; a mesh pattern gives a more textile look and better drape. Both change how the web behaves on a folding line.
Traceability and documents
Each roll carries a label with grade, gsm, width, length and batch. That matters when a converter runs four suppliers and a defect appears at 3 a.m.: the batch number tells you which pallet to quarantine instead of the whole container. Batch COA, packing list and certificate of origin travel with the shipment; REACH and RoHS declarations are issued per order when the destination requires them.
Grades in this range
The weights below are the ones quoted most often. Each has its own test values and its own failure modes, so the grade is chosen against the converting line and the end use, not against the price per tonne.
- 80 gsm polyester - 80 gsm polyester is chosen for filter bags and separation layers: strong, chemically stabl.
- 100 gsm polyester - 100 gsm polyester carries more load than the 80 gsm grade and is used where the filter see.
- 120 gsm polyester - 120 gsm polyester is the heaviest standard grade we quote: separation under heavy load, pr.
Tell us the application and the acceptance test
The reply names a grade we can run, the tolerance we can hold and a lead time, or says plainly that we cannot make it.
Questions
Common questions
What is the minimum order for a custom polyester grade?
It depends on whether the grade is already running. A grade in production can start at one pallet. A new colour, pattern or gsm needs a trial run, so the first order is quoted as a trial quantity with the running order priced separately. Ask for both numbers in the same reply.
Can you supply recycled polyester?
Yes, with the recycled content declared in writing and the supporting certificate for the batch. Tell us at enquiry which standard your buyer accepts, because the paperwork differs between schemes and retrofitting it after production is not possible.
How do you control gsm variation?
By on-line measurement plus a lab check per batch, and by rejecting the roll rather than averaging it into the shipment. The tolerance we quote is the tolerance we measure, not a nominal figure.
Which port do you ship from?
Qingdao, FOB, with CIF and CFR quoted on request. We work with the forwarder you nominate, or we can quote our own routing if you have no preference.
