Nonwoven fabric supply for Latin America
Long transit changes the specification. A shipment to Latin America spends weeks in a container and arrives in a climate that may be the opposite of the one it left, so packing and moisture control carry as much weight as the fabric itself.

What buyers here ask first
Total landed cost and reliability of arrival. Freight is a large share of the landed number, so container fill efficiency matters more than the unit price of the fabric. A grade that packs 20 tonnes per 40HQ is often cheaper landed than a cheaper grade that packs 16.
Long transit, real consequences
Forty days in a container crossing two climate zones is a test in itself. Desiccant, a dry container check, edge protection and a wrap that does not trap moisture are the difference between usable rolls and a claim. This is agreed before loading, not after arrival.
Language and documents
Enquiries arrive in Spanish or Portuguese, and the documents often need to match the language of the destination. Quotations can be issued in Spanish on request. Where consular legalisation is required, the timeline is part of the lead time and should be named at quotation.
Working with distributors
Many Latin American buyers hold stock for a region rather than converting. They need grades that stay in specification through a long shelf, consistent labelling and a supplier who can repeat a grade two years later without a renegotiation.

Questions
Common questions
Can you quote in Spanish?
Yes. Ask for it in the enquiry and the quotation and specification are issued in Spanish.
How do you handle consular legalisation?
Name the requirement at quotation. It adds days to the lead time, and it is the buyer's destination rule rather than ours.
What is the best packing for a 40 day transit?
Shrink wrapped rolls on treated pallets, edge protection, desiccant and a container that is checked dry before loading. Film that traps moisture under the wrap is worse than no wrap.
