Nonwoven fabric supply for African markets
Africa is not one market, and treating it as one is the fastest way to lose it. Coastal West Africa, East Africa and the interior differ in freight, in clearing and in what buyers can finance.

What buyers here ask first
Landed cost, financing terms and whether the documents will clear without an agent. Pre-shipment inspection schemes in several countries add a step that must be planned, not discovered at the port.
A supplier who knows that SONCAP or PVoC applies before the goods ship is worth more than a discount.
Grades chosen for durability of supply, not for novelty
Buyers tend to standardise on a few grades and repeat them. That suits a programme relationship: fixed specification, rolling forecast, scheduled production. Changing grade to save a few percent per square metre usually costs more in revalidation than it saves.
Clearing and inspection schemes
Several destinations require pre-shipment conformity assessment. The certificate is issued before loading, and the timeline belongs in the quotation. Where a buyer is new to importing, the document list is usually the first thing to explain.
Small converters, real constraints
New converters often cannot finance a full container of one grade. Mixed loads, staged shipments and a pallet of trial material make the first order possible without turning it into a credit risk for either side.

Questions
Common questions
Do you handle SONCAP or PVoC?
We prepare for the conformity assessment where the destination requires it and share the document list. The certificate is issued by the accredited body, and the timeline is part of the lead time.
Can we start with a mixed container?
Yes, with a loading plan agreed before production so each grade is retrievable at destination.
Which grade is most common for baby care in the region?
A 40 to 55 gsm spunlace in a viscose rich blend, chosen for absorbency and soft hand, with packing that survives a long and often humid transit.
